棺木(5)在泰国，有个古老习俗，只要在棺材里待上一夜，以欺骗死神，消除厄运的仪式，就可以摆脱厄运、招来好运。
一名在澳洲长大的泰国籍男子克里斯（阿南达饰），即使患有幽闭恐惧症，为了救罹患癌症的未婚妻，在众人的游说下，参加了仪式。来自香港的苏（莫文蔚饰）在结婚前一周得知自己得了肺癌，为了与心爱的人长相厮守，也来到泰国投入这个传说可以扭转命运的仪式。
仪式后，克里斯的未婚妻与苏都奇迹的复原了，然而伴随而来的，却是一件又一件无法解释的恐怖事件。离奇的景象将他们带入未知的恐惧之中，究竟仪式的真相是……[1]
